On October 7th Wood Avenue was renamed Pulaski Avenue in honor of the 79th Pulaski Day Parade, which is held annually in NYC. This year the General Pulaski Memorial Day Parade Committee of St Theresa Inc., named Jeffrey Krowicki, owner of Krowicki Funeral Home in Linden, as their 2016 Grand Marshall. Mr Krowicki along with Mayor Derek Armstead and other elected officials walked with the Linden Contingency in the Parade on October 8th , in NYC. The Linden Contingency out of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church has been for many years the largest contingency representing an area community in the parade.
