Project BrOKen
As part of the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign, the public is invited to a free program, known as Project BrOKen, that features dance, art and a resource fair to benefit individuals impacted by mental illness, addiction and disabilities.
The event begins on May 20 at 11 a.m. with a Resource Fair and Expressive Art Exhibit. At noon, there will be a dance performance depicting mental health, addiction, and disabilities. The event will be held at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, 667 Westfield Road. It is being run in partnership with iDance Ministry, led by Maria Daniel.
The two-hour event is free but registration is highly recommended via: eventbrite.com/e/602759528977
“I would like to express my deepest appreciation to iDance Ministry, and, specifically, Maria Daniel, for all her hard work in putting together what will be a tremendous program,” said Mayor Josh Losardo. “Please join me at this special event, which is a key component of the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign for this spring.”
This program is made possible in part by a 2023 HEART (History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands) Grant
