Police Officer Michael Gelormini Sworn In
The New Providence Police Department welcomes our newest member, Michael Gelormini. Michael was sworn in as a full-time police officer at the May 14th council meeting. He is currently enrolled at the John H. Stamler Police Academy as an alternate route recruit and will be graduating in June.
Prior to the police academy, Michael attended Fairleigh Dickinson University, graduating with an accounting degree. He has previously interned at our police department, served as a volunteer basketball coach for special education students, was an assistant basketball coach and a substitute teacher at New Providence High School. Michael has also worked seasonally as a basketball coach for the New Providence Recreation Department.
