Isaac Tu, a seventh grade student at Terrill Middle School, was honored by the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Board of Education for winning first place in the 2016-2017 Patriot’s Pen Essay Writing Contest, Post 10122 Scotch Plains/Fanwood. Isaac’s essay then went on to win third place at the District 5 Union County level.
Isaac read his essay that was entitled “The America I Believe In”. Dr. Kevin Holloway, Terrill Middle School Principal added “Terrill Middle School is very proud of Isaac, it is the first time Terrill Middle School had a win at the County level.” Isaac’s social studies teacher, Mrs. Judy Lasher was also present at the Board meeting and added her congratulations to Isaac.
