Kenilworth Historical Society members and friends gathered in the Oswald J. Nitschke House cultural arts center on July 19 for the first in a series of guided painting sessions led by resident artist Patricia Hubinger (group photo, back row, far left). The ongoing painting sessions, which are open to the general public, are among many fundraisers being held to defray the cost of an elevator that makes the Nitschke House museum and cultural arts center fully accessible. Other planned events include
• “Beatles” Dinner and Show (Sept. 23)
• Communitywide Garage Sale (Oct. 1-2)
• Mohegan Sun (Conn.)
• Bus Trip (Oct. 22)
• Oktoberfest (Oct. 23).
