OUTDOOR SUMMER CONCERT AND MOVIE SERIES RETURNS TO VILLAGE GREEN

The Summit DCP is announcing its annual summer movie and concert series will return to the Village Green located at 356 Broad Street this summer throughout July and August.
Presented by Investors Bank, the 2016 Hot Summer Nights Concert Series will once again welcome the best bands of the East Coast to the stage every Tuesday night throughout July. The 2016 series will feature: American Bandstand Review on July 12, Dancin’ Machine on July 19, Total Soul on July 26, and Brian Kirk and the Jirks on August 9.
All concerts begin at 7 p.m. The third night of the concert series, Tuesday, July 19, will also serve as Community Night, welcoming thousands of local non-profits to line the Village Green to share their mission.
Every Thursday night, the 2016 Screen on the Green Movie Series will welcome all ages to enjoy a full movie experience complete with onscreen character performances, sponsor giveaways, and family-fun movies played on the 36’ x 24’ outdoor screen. The 2016 series will feature: The Peanuts Movie on July 21, Alvin and the Chipmunks Road Chip on July 28, The Book of Life on August 4, and Kung Fu Panda 3 on August 11.
Family Dance Parties hosted by Summit Soundz Entertainment will be held before each movie night at 7:30 p.m. Movies will begin at dark.
Pizza Vita will serve fresh pies prepared in their 100% wood fired oven during each concert and movie night. New food vendors this year will include the CheezN food truck of Red Bank, NJ on concert nights and the Waffle de Lys food truck of Hoboken, NJ on movie nights.
Both movie and concert-goers are reminded to bring their own blankets and chairs. Admission to all movies and concerts is free. All events held with the City of Summit are alcohol and tobacco free events.
