James O. Swetman, 88, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018. Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, he lived in Cranford, New Jersey since 1957.
A Memorial Mass was held Tuesday, February 13, at Saint Michael’s Church, 40 Alden Street, Cranford.
Swetman served as an Army MP during the Korean War. He was a merchandizer for Wakefern Corporation for many years.
An avid bowler, he loved gardening and spending time with his family.
Swetman was predeceased by his wife, Genevieve (Matrangolo) Swetman last year.
He is survived by three children, Linda Vicci, Mark Swetman (Laurie), and Deborah Linthicum; five grandchildren, Christopher Vicci (Jacqueline), Anna Roga (Matthew), Gregory Vicci, James T. Swetman, and Emma Linthicum; and his great-granddaughter, Ava Vicci.
