American Legion Family of Post #43 November Events

A Centennial Celebration of Post #43 will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 2- 4 p.m. This is part of the National Celebration of the founding of the American Legion in November of 1919.

Certificates of Appreciation will be presented to many local residents who are Community Volunteers for their support and cooperation with the many projects completed by the Legion Family throughout the past century. Service pins will be given to members of the Auxiliary who have supported the Auxiliary plan of work throughout the years. The presentations will take place at 3 p.m.

The Annual Wreath Sale will begin in November. The cost will be $20 for a 16 inch decorated wreath and $25 for a 22 inch decorated wreath. Orders for wreaths will be taken by President Marybeth Valentino at 973-652-1812 or email: mbvalentino@gmail.com.

Wreaths will be available for pickup at Post #43 – 20 Ridgedale Avenue as follows: Saturday, November 30 from 10- 2 and Sunday, December 1 from 12 – 4 p.m. or Friday, December 6, 5-8 p.m. In the event of bad weather pickup will be extended to Sunday, December 8 from 12-4 p.m.
