Police participate in Read Across America Day 2020
Submitted by William G. Parenti, Chief of Police
The North Plainfield Police Department participated in Read Across America Day which is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2—Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing together kids, teens, and books.
Police officers and detectives joined the North Plainfield School District and other community members for the annual NEA Read Across America Read-a-Thon. This is yet another example of our Police Department’s collaboration with the North Plainfield School District and our commitment to building trusting relationships with the children and residents of the Borough of North Plainfield.
