North Plainfield Memorial Library Hosted 4th Annual Jr. FIRST LEGO Expo

Somerset County Library System of New Jersey’s (SCLSNJ) North Plainfield Memorial Library branch hosted their fouth Annual Jr. First LEGO League Expo recently at the North Plainfield Middle School. Over 150 people attended the interactive and educational event. This year’s challenge was an Aqua Adventure theme.
North Plainfield Youth Services Librarian Amy Behr explained, “It’s never too early to introduce children to science, technology, engineering, and math. With Jr. FIRST LEGO League, participants not only discover STEM concepts through the use of LEGO pieces, but also learn to embrace imagination and teamwork outside of a formal academic setting.”
