The North Plainfield Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Vella as Superintendent of Schools. Michelle has served as Acting Superintendent since December 2017, in addition to the role of Assistant Superintendent of Schools for Curriculum and Instruction, which she has held since April 2015.
Michelle has deep knowledge of North Plainfield and continues to demonstrate her dedication to the advancement of our students, staff and the community. With her appointment and the support and leadership of the Administrative team, the North Plainfield School district is well prepared to move forward and build upon the progress made over the last several years.
