Westfield High School was visited on February 18 by New Jersey Commissioner of Education, David C. Hespe (second from left), who was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner, Robert Bumpus; Chief Performance Officer, Donald Mitchell; and Union County Interim Executive County Superintendent, Roger Jinks. They were welcomed by Superintendent of Schools, Margaret Dolan, and other district administrators including the school’s Principal, Peter Renwick (far left). In addition to observing a freshman Humanities class, the guests visited a special education class, the school’s digital learning center, and Project “79 – an alternative education program.
“We were honored that the Commissioner accepted Mr. Renwick’s invitation to Westfield High School, and I was proud of the meaningful instruction taking place and the questions and answers provided by our staff members and students,” stated Dr. Dolan.
