New Voting Machines Demos in Summit
The Union County Board of Elections will hold a series of public demonstrations of its new ExpressVote XL machines that will be used in the November 5, 2019 general election. The goal of the demonstrations is to improve familiarity with the new machines among voters and poll workers prior to voting day.
Public demonstrations will take place on the following dates and in these locations:
- October 2 at the Common Council Meeting at City Hall from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- October 22 at the Chestnut Street Housing Complex on 12 Chestnut St. from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- October 29 at the Summit Free Public Library on 75 Maple St. from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
