New Tools for the iPad/iPhone (Adults) – September 1 at 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

Beginners Chess Club (Kids Grades 4-8) – September 2 at 2:00 p.m.

Join Grand Master Vladimir Romanenko via Zoom for six group sessions of Beginner chess strategies. Class is cumulative, so students must have signed up for all six classes from Aug 4 – Sept 9.

C2 Education Parent Virtual Presentation: “Becoming the Parent of a Strong Middle Grade Reader” (Adults) – September 3 at 6 p.m.

Nurturing your child’s reading ability is difficult, yet paramount to his/her academic success. In this Zoom, we will discuss the meaning of the A-Z Reading Levels that are used in schools for students in grades 4-7. You will also learn how to choose “just right” books for your child, help them develop vocabulary, and practice active reading strategies. Virtual Club Phoenix (Kids) – September 14 at 3:30 p.m.

Club Phoenix is online! In this program kids will learn about science, engineering, and logical thinking. Watch a variety of cool science experiments and learn how you can do them at home! This program is run by teen volunteers, who are passionate about sharing their love of science and STEM with younger children. Virtual Baseball Discussion Group (All Ages) – September 14 at 7 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Discuss your favorite team and players over Zoom, or just listen to the other baseball fans. You may call in if you prefer.

Virtual Fossil Dig (Kids) – September 24 at 3:30 p.m.

Join Paleontologist John Miller of Pearl Observatory LIVE on Zoom for this fossil dig event. All fossils are up to 20 millions years old. Find Megaladon, Great White, Tiger and Bull Shark Teeth, Fish teeth, Coral, Sea Urchin Spines and more!!! Have fun along with John at home sifting through your own pile of fossils.
