Fall Sunday concert series
New Providence Library
The Friends of the Library are happy to announce our Fall Sunday concert series performances at the New Providence Library. It’s fast approaching, and we have exciting talent to share with you. Please mark your calendars.
All these free concerts are open to the public, and held on Sundays from 3 – 4 p.m.
We start our season on October 15th with Aideen O’Donnell, a professional Harpist, Vocalist, and Teacher, recognized by the Cambridge Who’s Who. Aideen creates a powerful sound and has showcased her talents at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Keswick Theatre in Philadelphia, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and the Helix in Dublin, to name a few venues. You won’t want to miss this.
On November 19th we welcome Sam Edelston who is not your ordinary Dulcimer musician. He plays to many musical tastes: rock, pop, blues, country, classical, a bit of jazz, and of course folk music; and all on the acoustic and electric dulcimer. He aims not just to expand the horizons of dulcimer players, but to expand the common repertoire of the instrument.
We close our Fall season on December 17, with our very own New Providence High School Jazz Ensemble, always a big hit in the community, who will share their holiday tunes and magical sound.
The Friends of the New Providence Memorial Library is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness and funds, as well as advocate for, the New Providence Memorial Library.
