Veterans Day Ceremony – November 11
Mountainside Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 10136 will commemorate Veterans Day with a ceremony on November 11, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Mountainside Veterans Memorial Park, which is adjacent to the Mountainside Library. All Veterans and Mountainside residents are encouraged to attend.
Also, in conjunction with the Military Order of the Purple Heart – Cranford, NJ Post 28, a dedication of the new Mountainside Purple Heart Monument will take place. The Purple Heart Monument pays tribute to all those service members who have been wounded or killed as a result of enemy action while serving in the U.S. military. Mountainside VFW would like to thank the Mountainside Department of Public Works team for their support in preparation of the monument’s foundation.
