The Signs of our Times
Mountainside resident Kenny i. found while walking around town he could not help but notice the many signs supporting the heroes on the front lines fighting for us against this virus.
As the weeks went on, and his steps added up on his fit-bit, the selections and profusion of signs seemed to grow daily.
Signs of support for the health care workers, 1st responders, and community support heroes. Signs of congratulations for the graduates from 8th grade and high school. Happy birthdays.
Kenny said the signs seemed to say, “The virus may keep us from saying thank you in person, for now, but it doesn’t keep us from showing our thanks.”
Kenny took the first photo on April 23, and the last was taken on June 15th. Most of these photos were taken between Summit Road and New Providence Road, Route 22 and Ridge Drive. Kenny said “I was walking, not mountain climbing!”
