Mondays in July (July 11, 18, 25 and August 1) classes at 3:30
(ages 3-6) and 4:05 (ages 7-11) PM. USA Karate and
Fitness instructors from Springfield will lead 3-11 year olds in a fun half hour of ninja fitness. Drop in and join the fun!
b. Brown Bag Academy.
Our extremely popular Great Courses series continues through July on Mondays at 1:15 PM. For “Summer School” we are featuring Books that Have Made History: Books That Can Change Your Life presented by Professor J. Rufus Fears of the University of Oklahoma. Bring your lunch; coffee, tea and cookies will be served for desert! Come early to get your seat!

Monday, July 11 at 6:30 PM.
“The Million Dollar Personal Success Plan”. Career change and search success is built on setting good goals and consistently achieving them. Now you can learn a system that is time tested and used in 60 countries. This session will teach you: to develop a clear sense of purpose for greater focus, to identify your key success factor, to develop confidence and act from strength and to balance life and career success. The speaker, Terry Viney is the President of the Plus Factor, a company focused on helping successful organizations and people become more successful more quickly.
d. “Essential Oils”
Thursday, July 21 at 7:00 PM. Essential oils are naturally occurring aromatic liquids found in trees, flowers, bushes, roots and seeds. Many have powerful medicinal properties, often without side effects. if you missed this presentation in April, Essential Oils Consultant Delsa Richards will be back at the library for a 1 hour presentation on this fascinating topic.

July 19.
Meryl Streep headlines a cast of a powerful drama about women who were willing to lose everything in their fight for equality in early 20th century Britain. The story centers on Maud, played by Carey Mulligan, a working wife and mother, whose life is forever changed when she is secretly recruited to join the U. K.s growing suffragette movement (PG-13).
Iris(documentary) (2015)
July 26
Iris pairs legendary documentarian Albert Maysles with Iris Apfel, the 93 year old flamboyantly dressed maven who has had an outsized presence on the New York fashion scene for decades. She is portrayed as a singular woman whose enthusiasm for fashion, art, and people is life’s sustenance and reminds us that dressing, and indeed life, is nothing but an experiment (PG-13).
