Senior Girl Scouts from Mountainside troops 40443 and 40468 organized a free open house event on May 21st at the Hetfield House. There were ongoing games and crafts for children, food from colonial times, and tours through the historic Deacon Andrew Hetfield House. The scouts helped children make whirligigs. Children played hoop and stick, ring toss, and hopscotch with the Senior Girl Scouts. There were sugar cookies, apple pie, and apple cider provided by the Senior Girl Scouts. The Senior Girl Scouts also had help with tours from the Mountainside Historic Committee.
