Morgan Toriello of Westfield has joined the Board of Trustees at Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss in Mountainside where she has served on the Development committee for years and has been a Circle of Hope member since 2019. Morgan is an executive recruiter at Windham Management Group, a boutique placement firm focused on mechanical engineering. Morgan graduated with honors from the University of New Hampshire with a BA in Communications and before taking a hiatus to raise her 3 children, was in product development for major brands such as Levi’s and UGG, focused on design and supply chain.
Morgan founded the charitable fundraising organization, The Garden Gives, which hosts events to provide donations to Imagine as well as local community organizations such as The Westfield United Fund. Additionally, she has volunteered her time serving on the board of the Presbyterian Nursery School & Kindergarten as a Parent Teacher Organization representative.
Morgan and her husband John have three children – John, Rosie and William. Morgan has seen first-hand the impact grief can have on children and families, and has been drawn to the mission of Imagine since being introduced to the organization in 2017.
When asked about her reasons for joining Imagine’s Board of Directors, Morgan said: “I was honored to be asked to join the Imagine board. I have tremendous respect and admiration for all that Mary Robinson and her team do to help grieving families in our communities. After attending one of Imagine’s Seasons of Hope breakfasts several years ago, I felt compelled to help in any way that I could. The Imagine team was there for my family recently when dealing with a tragic loss, and their guidance and support were paramount in helping us, and our young children, deal with the grief. The families that Imagine serves have taught me so much about strength and resiliency and I am eager to get even more involved.”
Imagine offers grief and loss education and training to the community and free year-round grief support groups for children age 3-18 who have had a parent or brother or sister die, and for families caring for a family member living with a life-altering physical illness. Concurrent groups are available for parents and guardians, and young adults 18-30. For more information please contact Imagine at 908-264-3100 or info@imaginenj.org.
