Adventure Begins at Your Library is the theme of the summer at the Millburn Free Public Library. The Library is pleased to present its August lineup. Programs are free and open to all residents.
Register at millburnlibrary.org/events. All in person programs will take place at the library building at 200 Glen Ave. Registrants will receive a Zoom link for online programs.

Adventure Begins at Your Library: Summer Reading Challenge
Through August 9
The Summer Reading Challenge is not just for kids!Earn raffle tickets for logging the books you read this summer and put them into weekly drawings to have a chance at our weekly prizes.
Concert: The 1950’s Experience with Kevin Grace
Saturday, August 3, 3-4pm, Auditorium
Get transported back to the 1950’s with Kevin Grace’s stylistically spot-on vocals, wardrobe, and interesting commentary regarding the era.
Women Lighthouse Keepers with Mary Rasa (Virtual)
Thursday, August 8, 7-8pm, Online
This program explores the US Lighthouse Service and looks at five remarkable women lighthouse keepers. Registration is required to receive a Zoom link.
After Hours at the Library: Bad Art Night
Friday, August 23, 6-8pm, Auditorium
Forget about trying to be the next Monet! A night of fun and relaxation. Create your masterpiece – or disasterpiece. Registration and a sense of humor are required.

Magic Adventure Show with Steve Woyce
Friday August 2, 4-4:45pm, Auditorium for all ages
In this fun-filled show, volunteers help make fireflies appear and vanish, play a magical game of hide and seek with Bigfoot, and meet Presto the Super Worm who will try to read a volunteer’s mind. Registration is required.
Adventure Begins! Storytelling with Rachael Harrington
Friday August 9, 4-4:45pm, Auditorium for ages 4+
Gather round for an exuberant, interactive, adventurous storytelling performance. Build literacy, social emotional skills, and creative thinking, and have tons of fun. Registration is required.
Bubble Blast!
Wednesday August 21, 4-5pm, Outside near the Library Field for all ages
Meet us outside at the library for our Fourth Annual Bubble Blast. Create giant bubbles using a variety of household items. Drop in—no registration required.

Join the D&D fantasy adventure game. Registration is required.
Laser Tag Lock-In!

Back by popular demand—be there or be TOAST. Registration is required. Please note: This is an after hours library event. Doors will be opened at 6pm for event attendees only.
Food Adventures with Janis
Thursday, August 15, 3:30-4:30pm, Room B for ages 12+
Hang with Teen Librarian Janis and help make (yes, you’re helping!) tropical fruit smoothies. Registration is required.
