It was a hot one, but it was a beautiful Commencement Day for our Millburn Class of 2024. Class President, Joey Sorkin, shared memories of the challenges they have faced (Covid, Hurricane Ida, earthquakes!), but more importantly the friendships and fun they have had together. Dr. Miron also celebrated his memories of this class, and their ability to overcome adversity. He also announced the recipient of this year’s Sally DeVeer Award for Excellence in Teaching: High School Social Studies teacher, and organizer of this year’s One Millburn Day, Sharon von Blidjestein. He, and the class officers also presented retiring Superintendent, Dr. Christine Burton with an Honorary Degree.
