Register for Library programs by visiting millburnlibrary.org/events. Registrants will receive a Zoom link for virtual programs. Depending on the timeline for the completion of building renovations, in-person programs will take place at the Library’s temporary location at 253 Millburn Ave (the old Annie Sez building) or the main Library at 200 Glen Avenue.

Local Poets Showcase (In Person)

We’re celebrating National Poetry Month with a reading by three Essex County poets: Stacey Lawrence, Ras Heru, and Theresa Burns. Join us for an afternoon of verse and performance. Books by all three poets will be available for purchase.

Chat with a librarian 1-on-1 about anything tech! Whether it’s apps for eBooks, audiobooks, or streaming shows, or any general technology question, like using your smartphone, Internet, and email, we’re here for you. 25-minute appointments can be in-person or via Zoom; we can also accept walk-ins if time is available. This virtual workshop will provide specifics on the entire interview process including: how to thoroughly research a company, steps for successful preparation, and how to be poised and confident on an interview.
Citizenship Exam Preparation with the Jewish Vocational Service (In-Person)
Saturdays, April 23 – June 25 from 10:15 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.
Learn all you need to know to prepare for the United States Citizenship Exam in this 10-week class. The curriculum includes English instruction, American History, Civics, and the N400 application. Classes are free; you must have a Green Card to participate.

Stay and Play is an in-person, free play program for young children and their caregivers with an emphasis on STEM and developmental play skills. We supply the toys; the kids supply their imagination! Toys supplied are designed to stimulate a young child’s senses of touch, smell, taste, movement, balance, sight, and hearing.
Think Green: Impactful Home Energy Efficiency for Kids (Ages 8 – 12; In Person)
Thursday, April 7 from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
What are the impactful choices kids can make to help reduce their family’s energy consumption? Join environmental educator Gaston Haupert to learn the basics of being energy efficient and then explore some tools kids can use to measure and monitor energy consumption. Registration required.
Poetry with Mozz: a Goofy Guru Show (In Person)
