Chorus & Orchestra Spring Concert
The Music Department of Millburn High School proudly presents its annual Spring Chorus and Orchestra Concert on Thursday, June 6 at 7:30 P.M. in the high school auditorium. This concert is free and open to the public. Ensembles are under the direction of Mr. Rodrigo Vega, Director of Choirs, and Ms. Flora Yousefi, Director of Orchestras.
Chamber Strings will perform Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings. Chorale will present From Earth to Heaven by Caig Courtney, Cantate Domino by Heinrich Schütz, and an arrangement of Dreamer by Laufey. The Symphonic Orchestra will perform Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on ‘Greensleeves’ and Tchaikovsky’s Marche Slav. Cantica Nova will perform a piece by Andrew Steffen, an arrangement of Scarborough Fair, and Dance the Night Away by Dua Lipa. Miller Chorus will perform pieces by Dianna Sáez, Frank Ticheli, Jacob Arcadelit, Josquin des Prez, as well as Some Nights by FUN and an arrangement of Over the Rainbow. The concert will conclude with a combined Chorus and Orchestra performance of Verdi’s Anvil Chorus.
