Clinical psychologist to address issues of prejudice, violence, and student psychological stress on Oct. 29, at Watchung Hills Regional High School; public is invited Student parents and the general public are invited to hear Michael Fowlin, clinical psychologist with a doctorate from Rutgers University, speak on the topic “You Don’t Know Me Until You Know Me,” addressing a variety of problems faced by today’s teenagers, at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29, in the Performing Arts Center at Watchung Hills Regional High School.
Fowlin will make a similar presentation to an assembly of first-year students earlier that day at the school. The 90-minute presentation, which is entertaining, as well as both energetic and enlightening, is sponsored by the Watchung Hills Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).
Fowlin’s presentation, which he has given to Freshman audiences and their parents for many years, draws from his own personal experiences, as well as his professional insights regarding prejudice, violence, psychological stress, and other issues. He talks about how to build up confidence and self-esteem.
