Message from the Recreation Director

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Recreation Director for Warren Township. My name is Joe Passaro, I was a longtime resident of Warren and now have returned to carry on the long standing tradition of exceptional Recreation Programs and Events in  Warren Township. I have served as Chair and Vice Chair of the Warren Recreation Commission. Over an almost 20 year period I have created and nurtured the events we enjoy today, as well as privatized most of the sports programs in town. As past president of Watchung Hills Pop Warner Football, Cheerleading, and Little Scholars, we established the state of the art Sports Complex at the East County Reserve. I also oversaw the early development of the Duderstadt fields and created the Lacrosse and Youth Basketball Programs.
I hope to enhance all of our traditional programs as well create new and exciting programs for our Youth, Families, and Seniors. We look forward to building an exciting array of activities, updating facilities, and building new ones to keep up with our growing town. I would love to hear your comments and concerns regarding recreation in Warren.
