Memoir Writing Workshops.
Please join local author and educator JoAnn Jackovino for a three-session workshop on memoir writing. Sessions are free, but we ask that you bring a notebook, a pen, and your imaginations. All are welcome to attend. Please sign up at the Reference Desk.

The Thursday Morning Book Group
meets on May 17 at 10 a.m.
to discuss Madame Picasso by Anne Girard, a story that brings to life the mesmerizing and untold story of Eva Gouel, the unforgettable woman who stole the heart of the greatest artist of our time. When Eva Gouel moves to Paris from the countryside, she is full of ambition and dreams of stardom. Though young and inexperienced, she manages to find work as a costumer at the famous Moulin Rouge, and it is here that she first catches the attention of Pablo Picasso, a rising star in the art world. All are welcome. Copies of the book are available at the front desk.

For the younger set,
there are baby lapsits on Wednesdays. Bigger kids, i.e. ages 4, 5, and 6 have a special story time on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. and Wednesdays & Thursdays at 10 a.m. Every Thursday at 2 p.m. there’s a drop-in craft, too. And don’t forget about our afterschool clubs: Snap Circuits, Jr. meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 3:30 p.m. and LEGO meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 3:30 p.m. in the Coddington Room.
