Fanwood resident Marianne Kranz was among 10 women recently honored at the 25th annual Union County Women of Excellence gala on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Galloping Hill Golf Club in Kenilworth.
Marianne, a 23-year resident of Fanwood, was recognized for her work at SAGE Eldercare, a non-profit eldercare agency in Summit, where she is Director of Volunteers and Meals on Wheels. In that position, she is responsible for delivering hundreds of daily meals, mostly to seniors who are homebound, in Union and Essex County, coordinating hundreds of volunteers who do the actual delivery. She also recently surpassed 800 hours of volunteer work at the Caring Contact crisis hotline, answering calls from people who are in crisis, suicidal, lonely or depressed.
