MRB Jazz Project in Concert on Wednesday, March 13
The Linden Public Library proudly presents the MRB Jazz Project in concert on Wednesday, March 13 at 7:00 p.m. The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Linden Library, who will provide light refreshments at the event. Admission is free to the general public. This program is recommended for audiences ten years old and up.
Based in Union, the MRB Jazz Project is a trio comprised of Michael Pasqua on piano, Bruce Riccitelli on percussion and Gerry Babo on acoustic bass. They have performed at numerous private clubs, corporate events and fund-raising affairs, as well as libraries, colleges and universities since the group’s inception in 2005. Their repertoire encompasses music that spans the past ninety years of American songwriting, including classic jazz compositions, as well as their unique interpretations of the Great American Songbook. From romantic ballads to up-tempo swing tunes, be-bop to jazz waltzes, MRB Jazz always weaves a diverse tapestry of music to appeal to a wide variety of musical tastes. The trio often further seasons their music with some sultry Brazilian bossa novas or other Latin inflected tunes.
