Madison Rotary Club Breakfast Speakers for September

On September 1, Jennifer Walters, a licensed clinical social worker currently practicing in both community agency mental health and programming in Somerset County and private practice in Madison, NJ, will be the guest speaker. Through her work in mental health agencies and school programs, Jennifer has provided psychotherapy services to individuals, families, couples, and groups. Jennifer founded the Support Network of Madison to provide a formal access point for social and emotional support for residents of Madison, NJ. 

On September 15, we are pleased to announce that Hope One team members Erica Valvano, Chelsea Whiting, Jon-Erik Randazzo and Karolyn Mora will present to the Club. The Hope One Project of the Morris County Services for Addition provides a range of services including education, information to connect individuals to addiction resource/recovery organizations, and training in Narcan, a prescription medicine that blocks the effects of opioids and reverses overdose through its mobile van.

On September 22, Elizabeth Semple, Climate Resilience Manager for the New Jersey chapter of the Nature Conservancy will discuss the Nature Conservancy as a global environmental nonprofit working to create a world where people and nature can thrive. Founded in the U.S. through grassroots action in 1951, the Nature Conservancy has grown to become one of the most effective and wide-reaching environmental organizations in the world.

On September 29, Ms. Ann Grossi, Esq., currently serving her second term as Morris County Clerk, will provide an overview of the County Clerk’s office and address how the County Clerk’s office helps assure the integrity of election results in Morris County.

The Rotary Club of Madison meets each Thursday morning at the Madison YMCA, 111 Kings Road, Madison, from 7:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. There is no fee for first-time guests. Morning meetings are also accessible by Zoom.

Madison Rotary members actively engage to eradicate food insecurity in our community, to empower youth and to partner with other local organizations to enrich the Madison community for all. The Rotary Club of Madison will celebrate its 100th Anniversary in 2023.
