“Ladles of Love”

In 2022, the Madison Rotary embarked on a new volunteer venture: Ladles of Love. Monthly, Madison Rotarians partnered with Healthy Italia, an innovative cooking school on Main Street in Madison, making 64 quarts of fresh nurturing and nourishing soups to donate to area charities in need. Thus far, a total, 320 quarts of soup were given to JBWS to benefit the survivors of domestic violence; Homeless Solutions for people transitioning into housing; and the Madison Food Pantry at the Madison Baptist Church. Diane Williams, President and CEO of JBWS, spoke to Madison Rotarians during the event about how her organization gives safety, support and solutions for all domestic abuse victims and provides education to the public for the prevention of domestic violence. “Community support is crucial for the survivors on their road to recovery,” remarked Williams.

“Ladles of Love fits perfectly with the Madison Rotary’s mission to help alleviate food insecurity in our community, to empower youth, and to partner with other local organizations to enrich the Madison community and beyond,” said Madison Rotary President Doug Willis.
