April 2021 Officers of the Month
Michael Clancy and Nelson Jimenez from the Madison Police Department have been recognized as Employees of the Month for March.
On February 8, the officers were dispatched to the Madison High School tennis courts for a patient suffering a possible seizure. Patrolman Clancy was patrolling near the high school and arrived within seconds. He assessed the patient and determined he was in cardiac arrest. Patrolman Clancy immediately notified Madison Dispatch and began performing lifesaving measures. Patrolman Jimenez arrived shortly thereafter with Madison Ambulance Corps personnel and began assisting with CPR. After the officers used the automated external defibrillator (AED) several times, the patient regained a pulse and began breathing on his own. The patient was transported to Morristown Medical Center where he continued his recovery.
