Boy Scouts receive AED
Madison FMBA Local 74 and the Madison Fire Department Volunteers both contributed funds towards the purchase of an AED for Boy Scout Troop 25. This will ensure that the scouts are safe on their trips and activities as well as anyone else that may require assistance. The AED is a medical device designed to analyze the heart rhythm and deliver an electric shock to victims of ventricular fibrillation to restore the heart rhythm to normal. Ventricular fibrillation is the uncoordinated heart rhythm most often responsible for sudden cardiac arrest.
