Long Hill Troop 56 Boy Scouts continued a longstanding tradition of helping with the All Saints Church annual rummage sale in Millington on Saturday, September 23rd. About 40 scouts participated throughout the day in helping make the sale a big success.
There are many service and adventures opportunities available for students in 6-12th grade interested in joining the troop. The scouts kicked off the summer with a trip to Pine Barrens. The troop then spent a week roughing it in the Adirondacks at camp Sabattis in the Long Lake, NY. A smaller group of boys then chose tackle a in a 65-mile canoe trek earning their 50-miler patch. In the coming months scouts will enjoy trips canoeing on the Delaware River and exploring and camping at the National Battlefield of Antietam in Maryland. Visit Troop56.org for more information about joining.
