As part of the township’s 150th anniversary, a “Taste of the Town” event was held on March 23rd from 6:00-7:30pm that featured 12 local dining establishments, including local restaurants, cafes, diners, and grocery stores offered samples of their food.
Taste of the Town participants were: Chimney Rock Inn, 12 Islands Greek Taverna, Angie’s Deli, Biagio’s Italian Bakery & Deli, Blimpie, Kings Food Markets, Lung Yan Chinese, The Meyersville Inn, Meyersville CafО, Village Food Garden at Shoprite of Stirling, Stirling Hotel, and Thai Thai Fine Cuisine.
Music for the special event was provided by the Hickory Tree Chorus of Sweet Adelines. Mayor Meringolo invited attendees to stay for the night’s Township Committee meeting.
The event was held at Gillette’s Town Hall and was sponsored by the Long Hill Chamber of Commerce and Millington Bank.
