A week before Halloween, Long Hill Township held their annual Halloween parade in the Matthew G. Kantor Memorial Park, where community members, children and parents had the opportunity to come in their costumes and flaunt them among their peers. The event lasted just one hour, but in that one hour children had the opportunity to enjoy trick or treat bags, run around with their friends, and enjoy the fresh fall air. Costumes of all varieties were present and an informal contest took place, more for the viewing pleasure of the audience than actual competition. The costumes ranged from zombie princess to storm trooper and as the kids took turns showcasing their unique garments, they were handed a prize for their creativity. After the event ended, many of the families stuck around to socialize.
