Long Hill Chamber of Commerce
The Long Hill Chamber of Commerce is revitalizing its membership and planning virtual events to support local businesses according to current Chamber President Michelle Cavett. “There’s no doubt the business community has had an extremely difficult year,” she said.
“The economic downturn due to the pandemic has had a tremendous impact on our businesses, our families, and our community. Our goal is to reinvent ourselves in this ‘new normal’ and actively seek out viable ways to support the business community and minimize the impact of this crisis.” Cavett who is now co-owner of Chu’s Academy of Martial Arts (formerly Soo Bahk Do Karate of Gillette) said they got creative when the pandemic hit, holding socially-distanced outside backyard karate training for their members. “It was a huge success, and it proves there are opportunities out there for businesses to not just survive, but actuality thrive in this current environment,” she said.
The Chamber is currently looking for business owners/operators interested in serving on the board of directors for 2021. If you are interested please contact Cavett at (908)647-4194 or Gary Gianakis of Weichert Realty at
