Local Elks Leader Elected State VP

Hank Bedlivy was installed as the new District Vice President for the East Central District of the New Jersey State Elks Association. He was installed in Wildwood, NJ on June 2nd, at the Wildwood Convention Center. More than 7,000 Elks throughout New Jersey were also in attendance. A parade featuring several thousand marchers, music units, and floats made their way up Atlantic Avenue in celebration. State Vice President Hank Bedlivy. is a member of Union Elk Lodge # 1583.
There are 50,000 Elks members and 107 Lodges in New Jersey. Last year alone the New Jersey State Elks Lodges donated more than $16 million towards enriching our communities. The New Jersey State Elks volunteer hours exceed 365,000 and they drove more than 1.4 million miles, all for the betterment of our New Jersey communities.
Annually, the Elks award college scholarships across the nation totaling more than $5.2 million. Last year alone, theElks donated approximately $300 million in cash, gifts, and time to make our communities better places to live. The Elks Community Investment Program will award nearly $15 million towards enriching our communities. The Elks National Foundation also granted $10 million to the state Elks associations through State Charities Grants, Special Project Grants and Bonus Grants, which help fund each state’s charitable activities.
