The Linden Public Library, located at 31 East Henry Street in Linden, New Jersey, is proud to host noted vocalist and vintage guitarist, Ken Lelen who will perform some of the greatest songs ever composed for film in his concert, Hollywood Song Souvenirs. The event will be held on June 13, 2018, at 7 p.m. in the Columbia Bank Room and is sponsored by Co-Gen Technologies, owner, and operator of the Linden Cogeneration Facility.
Some of the greatest music in history was written for the silver screen. The moguls who ran the movie studios had a great opportunity to not only turn their films into huge financial successes with popular music but also could make the songs into chart-topping hits. Lelen sings and plays many of these songs which became popular on the radio, in juke boxes, over record players and in bandstands across America. He also offers a brief history about the music he presents. In addition, light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Linden Library.
