Officer Antonio Lacosta Promoted to Sergeant
Officer Antonio Lacosta was promoted to the rank of Sergeant during a private ceremony on July 22. Antonio is a Marine Corps veteran. He joined the Patterson Police Department in 2007, and joined the Linden Police Department in 2011 following massive layoffs in Patterson. He was quickly designated as a Field Training Officer and previously served in the Department’s Training Unit where he oversaw Field Training Operations.
“Antonio has truly found a home here in Linden PD,” said Police Chief Dave Hart. “He is widely respected for his knowledge, commitment, and demeanor. He has done an exceptional job since he joined us, and I have no doubt he will continue to do so as a supervisor.”
Following his promotion, Antonio was assigned as a Supervisor in the Patrol Division.
