Linden Band Performs on Disney Stage

There’s nothing more exciting, or more magical, than performing on a Disney stage in front of an international audience of thousands.
The performance setting was beautiful, as warm temperatures, blue skies, and a gentle breeze provided a magical ambience for Linden students and audience members alike. On the weekend of April 16th, the Linden High School Marching Band performed in a parade down Main Street USA at Disney’s Magic Kingdom as part of Disney’s Magic Music Days.
Linden High School was selected from hundreds of applicants across the nation that submitted audition tapes reviewed by world-class performers, who evaluate and select schools for the opportunity to participate in Disney’s Magic Music Days. Once in the Magic Kingdom, Linden band students were taken on stage and behind the scenes, where the Disney theme park became a vibrant “classroom” as they discover new techniques and pursue their passions, all while making memories that last a lifetime.
This one of the many prestigious venues the Linden High School band has performed in the United States. This was Linden High Schools eighth time participating as part of Disney’s Magic Music Days program – it was a fitting encore to end yet another successful season of the award winning band.
The musicians departed just days after the National Association For Music Merchants (NAMM) named the entire Linden Public School district the 2016 “Best Communities for Music Education.” Linden Public Schools is one of only 476 school districts across the USA to be selected for this award. This is the second consecutive year we’ve received the award.
