Lincoln School Celebrates Grandparents

Lincoln School Of Westfield Celebrates Grandparents / Special People With Songs And Smiles

On Friday January 29th, Lincoln School Kindergartners were on their best behavior, but not just because of their usual desire to listen to their teachers. On this special day, the school gymnasium was packed with some of the most important people in their lives, all gathered to celebrate Lincoln School’s own Grandparent & Special Person’s Day. Following a warm welcome from Principal Audrey Zavetz, the students entertained their guests with three beautiful songs: A Bushel and a Peck, A Song for Grandparents Day, and Hot Chocolate. The grandparents and special guests were then asked to join in for a second round of Hot Chocolate replete with hand motions by all, Thanks to the encouragement of Music Teacher Christine Toulios, the students were thrilled to hear the song being shared amidst the crowd. The childrens’ special guests then followed them to their classrooms where they enjoyed a glimpse of a day in the life of a Lincoln Kindergartner and many shared special projects. Despite the full day, rumor has it many left the building still singing! Lincoln School music teacher Christine Toulios was equally enthused, commenting that she was “so proud of all our kindergarteners up on stage; they put on such a great performance for all our grandparents and special people!”
