Bingo For Children: Mondays at 6:30 – 7:00 p.m., Bingo games for children ages 3 & up

Lap Sit: Tuesdays at 10:30 – 10:50 a.m., Interactive stories and songs for ages 0 – 2 years old

PJ Story Time: Tuesdays at 6:30– 7:00 p.m., Children are welcome to attend this story time program dressed in their pajamas and bring along a favorite stuffed animal, for ages 3 & up.

Toddler Time Wednesdays at 10:30– 10:50 a.m., Interactive stories and songs for ages 2 – 3 years old.

September Crafts: Friday at 3:30– 4:00 p.m., Ages: 4 – 9
Registration is required for each individual craft one week prior to each craft.

September Special Events
Registration is required for all special events. Kenilworth residents may register one week prior to each event. Out of town residents may register two days prior to each event, space permitting. To register call the library at 908-276-2451 or visit 548 Boulevard.
Boogie Woogie Babies: 10:30– 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12.
Interactive musical program will be presented by Tiffany Taylor for ages: 0- 4
Yoga Story Time: 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13
Join us for stories and yoga poses for the youngest listeners and their caregiver. This program will be presented by Sandy Szeluga for ages: 2 – 5. This program has been funded by The Friends of The Kenilworth Public Library.
Tween Craft: Diamond Art: 3:30– 4:30 p.m. on Monday, September 18.
Craft to take home and display. Ages: 10 – 14
Dance, Dance, Dance at The Kenilworth Public Library
Thursday, September 21 at 7:00– 8:00 p.m. Ages: 4 – adult
Join us for this interactive performance that highlightsthe cooperation and inter-personal relationships featured in partner dances.Learn about cross-cultural and social significance of couples dancing on a global tour that spans four oceans and four decades!
This program will be presented by Okra Dance Company.This program has been made possible by funds from Union County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
Special Event Story Time at The Kenilworth Public Library
Tuesday, September 26 at 6:30– 7:00 p.m., Ages: 3 & up.
Rinsey The Raccoon Rides Tobacco-Free Story Time presented by Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative promoting Tobacco Free for a Healthy NJ.
This interactive story time will entertain and educate children as they learn about the health consequences of tobacco (including vaping) and the harm from secondhand smoke exposure. Children will receive a related coloring and activity book to take home at the conclusion of this event.
Good Tyme String Band: 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27
All ages are welcome to attend and enjoy foot tapping knee slapping music.
Learn To Paint at The Kenilworth Public Library
Thursday, September 28 at 4:00– 5:00, Ages: 5 – 12.
Create your own painting to take home and display.
This program will be presented by Simone Anthony-Brown, owner of Express Yourself Studios. This program has been funded by The Les Malamute Art Gallery and The Eger Family.
Adult Programs
Join us on Tuesdays, September 5th and 19th at 2-4p.m. and Monday, September 11th at 6:00 – 7:45 p.m.for our card making group “Paper Pals.” You don’t need any paper crafting experience to join the fun.
“Medicare Workshop”: Join us on Thursday, September 7th at 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. to learn about Medicare, Medicare Supplement vs. Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, and How to Reduce Drug Costs. Participants may register with Peter at 718-501-4627 or hegelinsurance@gmail.com. License# 3000619432.
“Yarnies”: Join us on Thursdays, September 7th, 14th and 21st at 2-4 p.m. and Thursday, September 28th at 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. You don’t need any crafting experience to enjoy these creative explorations. Feel free to bring a project to work on. Watch demonstrations of knitting, crocheting and weaving.
“Adult Sewing Workshop”: Join us on Tuesday, September 12th at 5-7 p.m. Learn to sew or improve sewing skills! Adults are invited to register for this two-hour sewing workshop. Participants will design and sew a cosmetic bag with a zipper. Individual sewing machines will be available for each participant. This workshop will be presented by Ellen Lumpkin Brown. Ages 18 & up may register for this program. Kenilworth residents may begin to register on Tuesday, September 5th. Out of town residents may begin to register on Saturday, September 9th. “Spin – A – Yarn”: Join us on Tuesday, September 26th at 5:00 – 7:45 p.m. Bring your spinning wheel or drop spindle and create beautiful yarns! If you don’t have a wheel, you are still welcome to join us to learn about spinning.
All of these programs are free for adults.
