To celebrate our community, The Kenilworth Public Library will be creating posters of Kenilworth community leaders holding their favorite books. Each poster is unique, but all posters say the same thing, “Read.” Each month a community leader will be featured on a READ poster which will be on display for one month in the library.
Everyone is invited to stop by to view the poster of the Kenilworth Community Leader of the Month. In addition, there will be a one hour meet and greet with the featured community leader at the library one evening during the month. Meet and Greet programs will be announced each month.
Library Director Lorraine Ruiz will be our first honored community leader. Ms. Ruiz’ poster is currently on display at the library. Please join us on Thursday, January 17 at 6:30 p.m. for a one hour meet and greet with Lorraine Ruiz. Light refreshments will be served.
Upcoming community leaders to be honored are Mayor Anthony DeLuca, Police Chief John Zimmerman, and Fire Chief Lou Giordano. Additional community leaders will be included in future “Read” posters, emphasizing the importance of reading and libraries throughout our lives.
Members of the community are welcome to contact Library Director Lorraine Ruiz to nominate individuals to be considered for future READ posters too. These posters will be created on the library’s E Color Printer which has been funded by The Ralph Errington Foundation.
