Junior Woman’s Club of Westfield Presents Scholarships

The Junior Woman’s Club of Westfield awarded $1,500 scholarships to two very deserving Westfield High School seniors. The scholarships were presented at a general meeting of JWC held at a members house in Cranford in June.

The winners this year were Katherine Clark and Ryan Palmer. Katie has volunteered as a camp counselor for children with autism, The Westfield Rescue Squad and the Brindle campaign. She will attend San Jose State University with plans to major in Nursing.

Ryan’s selfless nature, driven approach toward his academics and lifelong dedication to the Special Olympics makes him a perfect candidate for this scholarship also. He will attend Lehigh University with plans to major in Engineering.

Congratulations to Ryan and Katie along with their parents. The JWC wishes many accomplishments in their college days and much success in their future careers!
