Jaclyn Beviano, a sophomore at Linden High School, took home the silver medal in the Eastern Region Championship roller skating competition in the Freestyle division. The competition took place on Sunday, June 25, 2017, in Reading, PA. This win qualified Jaclyn for the 2017 USARS Roller Figure Skating National Championships, which took place in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the end of July.
Jaclyn has been skating since 2008 and is currently coached by Mary and Al Dunham at the Woodbridge Community Center. This was the first time Jaclyn competed in the National competition.
