The town’s Office of Business & Economic Development thinks Cranford is a really special place and launched a new campaign to make sure everyone knows. “The locally owned shops and services, variety of food places, great events and activities like the Scarecrow Stroll, Rock Yoga, Cranford Paint Out, LEGO contest and, of course, the colorful public piano are just some of the reasons we think it’s “Cooler in Cranford”, said Director Kathleen Miller Prunty.
Business owners are helping to spread the word with decals in their front windows and Cooler in Cranford kid sized tee shirts were handed out at events. The Downtown Cranford office encourages the public to share pictures and thoughts about why they think it’s “Cooler in Cranford” to live, shop, work or enjoy many events, activities and treasures like the Canoe Club, bike trails and more. You can send a photo or comments to dmc@cranfordnj.org and tell them why you think it’s Cooler in Cranford.
Ms. Prunty wanted to give special thanks to local realtor Sharon Steele, an enthusiastic supporter of the community and local businesses, who sponsored 200 Cooler in Cranford kids tee shirts that were given out at various events. There have been many requests for the shirts so we approached Think d’sign Print about selling adult and kid sizes at their store at 11 North Avenue E and online at www.thinkdsignprint.com
