The Linden Fire Department Fire Officers FMBA Local 234 and Firefighters FMBA Local 34 received a generous donation of $5000.00 from Infineum USA L.P. towards the purchase of fitness equipment for the Linden fire stations. Infineum’s Plant Manager, Karl Van Driesen, and Infineum’s Community Relations Coordinator, Lois Bass presented the donation at the quarterly meeting of the Bayway Complex Community Advisory Panel. Deputy Chief Kevin Brady and Lieutenant Mike Fernandes have been spearheading the development of a physical fitness program for the Linden Fire Department fire fighters so when Infineum became aware of the fitness program they quickly moved to assist.
Linden Fire Chief Joseph Dooley stated that “This is typical of our relationship with Infineum. Over the years when they hear about a project we are trying to implement they have stepped up to help. Infineum was instrumental in getting some of the first Automatic Defibrillators for the Linden Fire Department. To say they are a good neighbor is an understatement.”
