IMPACT Youth Club

Founded in 2013 in Warren, NJ, the International Musicians’ Performing Arts Cultural Troupe (IMPACT) Youth Club (IYC) is a 501(c) student-run community service organization based in New Jersey with additional new branches in Connecticut, New York, and Taiwan. IYC serves local communities throughout all three of their branches through the promotion of performance, arts, and education with all kinds of charity events and fundraisers, concerts, and more.
IYC recently partnered in October with MegaLight, Inc., a company that helps businesses, organizations, and consumers nationwide implement energy efficient lighting through manufacturing energy-saving LED lightbulbs. MegaLight sent IYC 20,000 of these lightbulbs in boxes of 24 to be donated to local businesses and organizations. October is actually National Energy Awareness Month, so the timing was perfect for IYC volunteers to promote energy sustainability and environmentally-friendly practices through donating these lightbulbs.
Once the lightbulbs were successfully delivered, IYC volunteers quickly got to work contacting local restaurants, businesses, and other organizations explaining IYC’s collaborative effort with MegaLight and asking if they were interested in receiving these lightbulbs. Many of the businesses and organizations contacted were interested, and over the next few months, IYC was able to donate nearly 4,000 lightbulbs to 21 businesses and organizations and many households of IYC volunteers’ close friends and family across New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. Two of the 21 businesses and organizations that received lightbulb donations are local restaurants right here in Warren: Silk Road and Ye’s Asian Bistro, both located in the Village Square Plaza on Mountain Blvd. Silk Road received 48 lightbulbs (2 boxes), and Ye’s Asian Bistro received 24 lightbulbs (1 box).
