Girl Scout Daisy Troop 40710 of Clark earned their Rosie Petal (Make the World a Better Place) by pairing up with Jersey Cares to collect travel sized items for the homeless. The girls reached out to family, friends and fellow students, asking them to donate hotel sized travel items, soap, shampoo and other toiletries to make “first night bags” for the homeless. The girls assembled over 40 bags of assorted items for the homeless to receive on their first night in a shelter. Recently, Michelle from Jersey Cares paid a visit to the troop to talk about the importance of giving back to the community. Each girl then shared a story about how they are, “making the world a better place”. Girl Scout Troop 40710 is led by troop leader Genevieve Cece and co-leader Danielle Fidurski.
